What is the purpose and mission for Weather Response eXpedition
Doing what they fail to do.
The mission of Weather Response eXpedition is to ensure critical weather and emergency alerts reach the public through every possible channel, including Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), radio, and TV.
Local NYC broadcasters often fall short in issuing vital alerts, citing "enough news coverage," despite investing heavily in EAS equipment and adhering to FCC guidelines. WRXD steps in to bridge this gap, prioritizing public safety by delivering timely and essential alerts that others overlook.
We care.
At Weather Response eXpedition, we prioritize public safety by ensuring vital alerts reach you promptly and effectively. We understand that timely information can protect lives, property, and loved ones.
While some broadcasters may overlook the importance of issuing critical alerts, we are committed to filling that gap. Public safety is our mission, and we work tirelessly to deliver weather and emergency updates that play a crucial role in keeping you and your community safe.
Its Important
At Weather Response eXpedition, we are dedicated to providing reliable emergency and weather alerts to protect you, your loved ones, and your property. Public safety is our priority, and we strive to fill the gaps left by others who may not utilize alert systems effectively.
While we are a voluntary program still in progress, it’s essential to have additional outlets. However, we encourage you to stay informed by also checking official media sources, NWS social media, and websites for comprehensive and up-to-date information. Your safety is a shared responsibility, and every resource matters.
