Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center Official Website and Service Usage Policy

By using any of the services provided by WRXD EAS Center, including but not limited to our online radio station, Discord, website, and social media pages, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read this policy carefully, as it governs your use of our services, and by engaging with any of the services provided, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

1. Copyright and Usage Restrictions
By accessing and using any materials provided by Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center, including images, videos, information, audio files, broadcasts, or any other content created, posted, or published by Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center, you agree that no content from our website or services may be used without explicit written permission. This includes but is not limited to reproduction, redistribution, public display, or commercial use. Unauthorized use of Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

All rights go to the owners of used embeds, including any addons that were not created by WRXD EAS Center / Weather Response eXpedition. We do not take ownership or credit for such creations.

2. Limitation of Liability
By using our services, listeners, viewers, supporters, and participants agree to hold Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center and its members harmless from any liability, claims, or legal actions related to the use or misuse of our broadcasts or services. This includes any errors, malfunctions, or issues arising from the operation of our radio station, website, or other digital platforms. You understand that Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or information. Furthermore, you agree that Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center will not be responsible for any financial claims or damages resulting from any issues related to our services. You also acknowledge that we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and may experience delays or technical difficulties.

3. Non-Official Status
You acknowledge that Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center is a volunteer-run, non-profit group of hobbyists and is not a government agency, official emergency organization, or FCC-established entity. Our group operates solely for the purpose of sharing information and assisting in emergency alert dissemination, and we do not represent any official regulatory body. Our broadcasts, alerts, and services should not be relied upon as an official source of emergency alerts, weather updates, or government-sanctioned communications. While we aim to provide accurate and timely information, official outlets should always be consulted for critical updates, including but not limited to local government emergency communications, National Weather Service (NWS) warnings, and the official Emergency Alert System (EAS).

4. Prohibition of Malicious Activity
Any attempt to engage in or facilitate the following activities will result in immediate and severe action:

Doxxing: Sharing personal or private information of others without their consent.

Exploitation: Taking advantage of vulnerabilities within our systems or services.

Unauthorized Access: Gaining or attempting to gain unauthorized access to Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s hardware, software, or intellectual property, including IP addresses, unreleased projects or updates, and systems.

Hardware Exploitation: Tampering with or hijacking Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s hardware or equipment.

Any of these actions will result in immediate legal action, including a formal civil lawsuit, without exception. Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center will pursue all available legal remedies to the fullest extent of the law, and you agree to be held personally liable for any damages or losses that result from such actions. No individual or entity associated with Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center will be exempt from legal action if they are found engaging in the aforementioned activities.

5. Contact Forum and Chat Usage
By using our contact forums, chat systems, and communication platforms, you agree to adhere to the following rules:

Abuse of Communication Platforms: Harassment, spam, or inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited.

Monitoring and Recording: Chat history, calls, and other communications may be subject to monitoring and recording by Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center to ensure a safe and respectful environment.

6. Website and Service Updates
You understand that Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center's website and services may not always have the most up-to-date or vital information due to the nature of our volunteer-driven operations. While we strive to provide accurate information, we are not responsible for any delays or gaps in our updates. As such, we strongly recommend relying on official sources for critical emergency information, such as local government websites, emergency alert systems, and the National Weather Service (NWS).
You agree that any information found on Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s website and broadcast systems is not guaranteed to be accurate, timely, or comprehensive, and Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center disclaims any responsibility for actions you may take based on our content.

7. Use of EAS Information
Under no circumstances may you use any EAS headers or information provided by Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center for improper or illegal purposes. You are solely responsible for the use of any content related to EAS alerts, warnings, or messages, and Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center will not be held liable for any consequences resulting from your use of such information. You agree to take full responsibility for any legal, financial, or criminal repercussions that may arise from your misuse of our EAS data.

8. Prohibition of Broadcasting on Unauthorized Frequencies
Listeners, viewers, supporters, and participants agree not to broadcast Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s station or information on any FCC-regulated frequencies, including but not limited to:

HAM (Amateur Radio)

FM or AM Radio

Digital Bands/Frequencies

You acknowledge that any attempt to broadcast Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s station or content on unauthorized frequencies is a violation of federal law and may result in severe penalties. Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center will not be held responsible for any legal actions or negligence resulting from your actions.

9. Personal Information and Privacy
Your personal information will never be shared or sold to third parties. The only instances where your information may be shared are as follows:

When you apply to volunteer or participate in Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center activities, your information may be reviewed by in-group leaders to determine your eligibility.

Any personal data collected during application processes is stored securely and used only for internal purposes related to volunteering, support, and membership.

By using our services, you consent to the collection and in-group review of your personal information only for the purposes stated above. We value your privacy and will take all necessary measures to protect your data.
10. Impersonation and Misuse of Group Resources
You agree that Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center and its members should never be used for impersonation purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, impersonating government officials, emergency personnel, or emergency services. Specifically, the use of Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center's name, branding, or resources to create the false impression of affiliation with any government agency is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, you are prohibited from adding emergency lights, sirens, or any similar devices to your personal vehicle in an attempt to impersonate government or emergency services vehicles while utilizing our group. Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center does not grant permission to any individual or group to engage in these actions, and any violation of this policy will result in immediate legal consequences.
Additionally, we do not permit the use of government-issued equipment or uniforms without proper authorization. This includes, but is not limited to:

Illegal receivers used for unlawful transmission or reception of signals.

Unauthorized uniforms/vests that resemble official government or emergency service attire.
​

Illegal emergency vehicle equipment (lights, sirens, etc.) used without official clearance.

Any attempt to use Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center’s name, resources, or materials for the purposes of illegal activities, such as unauthorized transmission on FCC-licensed frequencies, will result in severe legal action. This includes the use of any equipment, whether it’s for receiving or transmitting signals, on FCC-regulated or other licensed frequencies without the necessary permits or authorizations.
You are fully responsible for your actions, and any violations of these policies will result in you being held liable for any legal, financial, or personal consequences that may arise as a result of your misconduct. Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center will not be held accountable for any illegal or unauthorized activities conducted by individuals or groups who misuse our resources or services in violation of these terms.

11. Use of Items or Photos with AI Technology
Weather Response eXpedition/WRXD EAS Center may utilize items, images, or photos created, processed, or enhanced using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Such content may include AI-generated visuals, digitally altered images, or AI-enhanced materials used for educational, promotional, or operational purposes.
By engaging with our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
